Mindfulness, Meditation and Yoga Retreats

Retreats include a mixture of very gentle Yin Yoga (no experience necessary), guided meditations, bio-neuro-psychological science, and tools for practising mindfulness to help stop negative thinking patterns and to eliminate unhelpful behaviours.
Retreats last either one to two days. These are 'day retreats' in the sense that there is no accommodation on-site, but there are plenty of local options nearby. Sometimes you want you to get away from it all completely. Other times it can be highly helpful to return to your home and take your new learning with you so you can begin to integrate new habits immediately into the fabric of your daily life.

Relationships and CommunicationAfter 20 years of working with individuals, couples and families Amberley has helped many people to learn how to interpret the ways in which others express themselves and communicate effectively with one another. Trying to find the energy to navigate and manage both our communication and relationships whether in the workplace or at home is challenging. A fresh perspective and alternative ways of resolving issues can transform hard, unsatisfying or lonely spaces into connective, respectful and compassionate ones.
Pain ManagementWith modern life there are many factors that can lead to the development of chronic pain. Some physical, some emotional. Managing that pain so it does not impact your life greatly is a big challenge. Part of healing comes from understanding how our bodies and minds interact to create our internal environment. Using biofeedback, clinical hypnosis and image re-scripting we can alter our the landscape of our mind, which can then effect our bodily experiences.

Lifestyle Choices and FoodAmberley has spent many years working with people with long-term, chronic medical conditions and those having bariatric (weight reduction) surgery. She has accumulated in this time a raft of ideas on how to help you make positive lifestyle changes that can work for you. There is a lot of information available now on what we shouldn't and should eat, how to exercise and what helps us sleep. These workshops help you navigate through this information and make healthy for you and make those positive changes last so you can stay well.
Hacking Flow StatesFlow is the term coined by scientists to describe our optimum state of being, where we perform at our best and feel at our best. In this state of consciousness we release the top 5 'feel good' hormones, we can increase productivity by up to 500%, be more creative, and increase immunity and our healing capacity. Flow is available to everyone, but, we do not all experience it regularly or purposefully. This workshop introduces Flow hacks to create, sustain and balance Flow states through making lifetysle adjustments and identifying blocks to being in Flow.
